Breast
Utilizing advanced techniques for breast enhancements and reconstruction.
There are a number of reasons that both women and men might consider aesthetic or reconstructive surgery on the breast, ranging from mastectomies to minor deformities, to volume or shape issues related to age and/or lifestyle. In all cases, it’s important that the patient trusts his or her doctor, and understands all the options available.
ASF Associates offers a full range of surgical services for the breast, including:
- Breast Augmentation
Augmentation mammaplasty involves the use of silicone or saline implants to restore or enhance the contour, shape, and fullness of the breasts. Augmentation is sometimes performed at the same time as a breast lift procedure. - Breast Reduction
Reduction mammaplasty involves the removal of skin and breast tissue to reduce its size. This can result in a more aesthetically pleasing proportion, and can also relieve pain and pressure on the back and neck. - Breast Lift (Mastopexy)
This technique involves removing, tightening, and reshaping the skin and surrounding tissue to raise and firm the breasts, providing a more aesthetic and natural contour. - Breast Reconstruction
Breast cancer survivors who have undergone breast cancer surgery may choose to undergo reconstruction, a combination of surgical techniques that result in the restoration of a missing or deformed breast to match the size, shape, and contour of the existing one. This can also be performed on patients who have undergone double mastectomies. Breast reconstruction can be performed using the patient’s own tissues (autogeneous) or with prosthetics (implants). Autogeneous reconstruction can result in a more natural look and feel. These microvascular tissue transfer options--also referred to as free flap procedures--include DIEP, SIEA, SGAP, muscle-sparing TRAM. Pedicled flaps include TRAM, TAP and Latissimus musculocutaneous. - Fat Grafting can be considered for use in refinement after reconstruction.
